This past weekend, Gram and Bapa came to visit for a couple of days. It was a pretty quick trip, but they got to see all the grandkids in one circuit of Texas, so it was a longer trip for them.
Logan and Kayleigh got "grandparentized" - they were held whenever they wanted to be, and had constant playmates who didn't have to cook or anything! Yup, the remainder of this week is going to be fun.

Gram gets some early morning lovin' in. Logan woke everyone (except Daddy, of course) up at almost 7am on Monday morning. This was surprising, since Gram and Bapa get up at 5:30 most days. Yeah, they're retired...

Let's play! Logan and Bapa played with trains, and Kayleigh and Gram played with pull toys and the learning table.

Sometimes, a girl just wants to be fed. She can hold the bottle on her own, she just chooses not to. And Bapa is a sucker for a pretty face.
Tuesday morning, we went to the new park in the back of the subdivision. It was a great time! Kayleigh was raising her hands to the wind and grinning. "I love you, Wind!"

Logan loved going down the tube slide. Bapa would look in the bottom, and Logan would just giggle and laugh, then dive head first down the slide. Then he'd jump off, run around to the stairs, and do it all again.

Kayleigh went down the baby slide (holding Gram's hands, of course). She loved it!

Having grandparents at the house does crazy things to kids. Not only do they try to go to bed an hour later than usual, but they also want to use things they haven't used in a year! Logan wanted to jump, so we got a jumper out for him, and he went crazy - jumping and spinning and swinging. What a time! Of course, the squishy diapers afterward from all the jumping was not so fun...

And this crazy girl decided to start pulling up on her crib. She almost got herself to standing - then fell and hit her chin. Ouch!

Tuesday for dinner we went down to Galveston to the Spot. Then Logan of the short attention span, wanted to leave the restaurant and go to the beach. The fog was rolling in and the wind was pretty high, so it was pretty cool. But Logan had a great time looking at the waves, running through the sand, and then walking out on the wave break.
Here are my model men. Seriously, doesn't this look like something out of a glossy?

Gram and Kayleigh had fun too. Kayleigh loved Gram's diamond necklace, and played with it whenever Gram held her. She never tried to rip it off, she just fingered it. Here Kayleigh tells Gram what she's thinking. Apparently, it's pretty funny stuff!

We had a great time with Gram and Bapa. Daddy enjoyed having a picked up house for once. Heehee. We can't wait to see them again!
Logan saw a Lexus in the gym parking lot today and said, "Bapa car!" The little guy is pretty observant!
