Baking cookies - November 30

On December 1, I went with my friend, Joanie, to a cookie exchange at her church.  But to go to a cookie exchange, I actually had to make cookies!  So we made our favorite cookies, molasses cookies.  The kids enjoy rolling the children in the snow (and then licking the "snow" off their fingers).

Logan did great at rolling the cookies - only about 3 made their way to his mouth, and the cookies stayed in a sort of ball shape before going into the oven.  Most years they are smushed like pancakes.  The next trial was keeping kids and Daddy away from the cooked cookies so I could take 3 dozen to the church with me.  There was much gnashing of teeth...good thing we made a double batch!
