Carter Mountain Orchard - October 15

After having driven from Georgia for most of the morning, we needed to get out and stretch our legs.  So Amy had a great idea to go up to the Carter Mountain Orchard to pick some apples.  As you can see from the trees that they were laden with apples, so picking was a snap!
The hard part was getting up to the apples.  We went to pick Fuji apples first, and it was UP on the mountain.  The little girls didn't want to walk, so they took the apple cart, with adults taking turns pulling and pushing them up the hill - Bapa and Uncle Chris, Daddy and Uncle Chris, Mommy and Bapa.  Everyone else walked up the mountain.
Kayleigh and Gram fill up a bag.  The girls loved to pick small fist sized apples - just the right size for little mouths!
Daddy picks an apple.  Just like in strawberry fields, you can eat as much as you want.  I think I had about 3 or 4 apples before we were done.  So yummy!
Uncle Chris, Aunt Amy, and Adam pick some apples.
The view from Carter Mountain.  Seems like a slice of Americana.
Chris give the girls a lift.  Crazies!
Adam runs through the orchard.  He and Logan were having a great time running around shooting each other with sticks.
The four cousins! Adam (6), Kayleigh (3), Lottie (4), and Logan (4)
