After putting up the lights on our house, we went to the Zoo to see the new Zoo Lights. Members got a discount before the Zoo Lights opened to the public. However, it was still super packed!
There were so many lights! And I love live oak trees wrapped in lights. Beautiful! By the tiger and lion enclosures, they had large words, "JOY", "PEACE", "HOPE" in lights. True meaning of the season - because He is the Prince of Peace, the Hope of the world, and the Joy-bringer.
The giraffes take a rest. According to Ranger Rick, giraffes sleep for about 2 minutes at a time. So, it's not even a cat nap!
Of course, we had to ride the carrousel in the dark. "Can we go again?" Every animal was taken - I've never seen it that crowded before!
These were white sheep with projections on them. It was really neat the way the colors danced over them.
The lights were well done, especially for their first year! Think we'll have to make it a tradition!
